RAVENOUS READER

As a retired English and Reading teacher of middle school children, I've created a blog where parents can make an informed decision as to the best in children's picture books they can select for their children to read. I review two picture books a month.

About Me

FRANKIE
I'm married to my wife, Anna, a retired dental assistant, for 25 years. We're planning on going to Italy for our anniversary. I've published three poems in three separate anthologies, in the past three years. I am editor of the poetry book, Celebrate Life, written by Seniors at the Mosholu-Montefiore Community Center. It is published by Xlibris. Before I met my wife, I was into running and jogging, and ran marathons up to 5 miles. I met my wife at my first race. She came to see her brother run. I read children's picture books every day. We have no children. We tried adoption, but it didn't work out. Our nieces and nephews and cousins are our children. I've written several picture books, which still have to be worked on, but my latest is THE DAY THE HENS OINKED. I've been writing for twelve years, since I retired, and I plan on writing for children until my book is published. I am totally committed to writing for children, and I will work with a publisher, editor or agent. Give me a chance. Guy de Maupassant said, "Talent is a long patience." I've been writing for 12 years now, and I know I have talent.
