Dear Parents,
In my previous blog, I unintentionally did not add the address for the
WORLD WILDLIFE FUND- Charity of the month. The address is: 1250 24th
St., N.W., P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC. 20090
You can call them at (202) 293-4800, or customer service at (800) 960-0093
to donate. Or, you may call the adoption line at (800)-call-WWF.
For $75. or more, you can get a WWF bag free (a blue tote).
When you donate to adopt an animal, your child can select one of the endangered baby animals, like a pygmy elephant or a panda bear, from a collection of baby animals. The animals are soft and cuddly. My wife, Anna, and I donate to this worthy cause.
The following are picture books your child would love to read:
1. Being Friends- Karen Beaumont. Illustrated by Joy Allen, 2002.
2. Who is the Beast?- Keith Baker, 1990.
3. Ducky-Eve Bunting. Illustrated by David Wisniewski, 1997.
4. Come Along, Daisy-Jane Simmons, 1997.
5. Rumble in the Jungle-Britta Teckentrup, 1997.
6. Meet the Dogs of Bedlam Farm- Jon Katz, 2011
7. Farmer Duck-Martin Waddell. Illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, 1991.
Don't forget to donate to the animals.
We are enjoying our Gray Wolf, our Red-Footed Booby and our panda bear.
God bless.
Sincerely,
Ravenous Reader (a. k. a. Frankie )
